No, it's not just you- we camp alot. I've been teasing Zane that all we ever post on our blog is camping or hiking pictures. I promise we do other things but we only remember to take pictures when we go on these sort of outings so. . . you get to see more nasty pictures of me when I need a shower. Yay!
Yesterday we went up to Big Cottonwood canyon and hiked to three small lakes.
They were gorgous and it was a beautiful day to be outside.
I'm getting a little 'round' so it was difficult to hike but we made it!
We left our map in the car so while we found snow, we lost ourselves a little bit. Sorry to those of you we had to call to un-lose us.
Independence Day!
For the 4th of July we got to go up to Idaho and see the Smiths.
Our nephew Carter was baptized- thanks again Carter for inviting us to be there!
We had a ton of fun but man was it cold! Friday night we lit fireworks with Mike and Tammie and laughed histerically as the dog and duck both came unglued. We spent Saturday night above Swan Valley where we shot Zane's new pistol and visited with Chris and Becky. (We miss you guys!)
We watched fireworks in Driggs where we were listened to Glenn Beck and bought the most expensive cereal I've ever eaten.
Wright Family Reunion
The last weekend in June was spent at my family reunion on Beaver Mountain. Other than Toby (Zane's truck) getting a nail in his tire we had a blast.
I fell asleep on the bank while everyone fished so of course I burned. (My face felt tight that afternoon so I asked Zane if I was burnt. He said no. Within five minutes my aunt walked up to be and yelled, "Oh my word, you are fried!" I turned and just looked at Zane. After a minute he said, "Oh, I guess you are a little pink" Seriously?!?!) I peeled for a week afterward.
Despite his inattention to details like burnt skin, Zane is amazing! Especially with kids. So it was no suprise when he quickly aquired 5 or 6 permanent tag alongs. It was so fun to watch him bait worm after worm, teach them how to cast, and sigh when he'd have to untangle yet another snag. They were all sad to see him go.
We were able to spend some time with my brothers and sisters while we were there. Mom, Dad, and the girls came up for a night and we said goodbye to Anne before she headed back to Thailand the next morning. The boys played in a softball game, I had lunch with Chrissy and Aubrey in town, and Tam took us 4 wheeling. Tam and Chrissy even stopped in to see Grandma and Grandpa Lee in Monroe with us before we headed back home.
